What began as a small fishing boat building shop grew into one of Puget Sound's most respected marine operations. Originally founded as the Skansie Brother Ship Building Company, our boatyard helped shape Washington's maritime history. More than a century later, we're proud to continue that legacy by serving boaters, visitors, and our waterfront community with the same commitment to craftsmanship and care.

The Trolley

Trident came to you with a long list and then we added to it: new sanitation, plumbing, a new stern tube, a solar array with new mounts and an upgraded charge controller, a rudder leak, a full replacement of the boats grounding, and a good deal of other electrical and mechanical work. She went back into the water on July 29th in far better shape than when she arrived. A project of this size only goes well when many people do their jobs well, and yours did. Each of them took the time to do the work properly, and that is exactly what I look for in a yard. It is why I'm glad to have Trident at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard.
