‘Audacious’ craft beers close by
So, your boat is secured in good hands at the marina and now it’s time to find yourself a cold one. That’s easy with the popular 7 Seas Brewing Tap Room close by. From Gig Harbor Marina just walk up Pioneer Way one block, go left on Judson Street and you’ll see the inviting outdoor beer garden part-way down on the right.
7 Seas microbrewery features more than two dozen “audacious, yet technically well-executed beers,” say co-owners who craft the beer on the premises. Their thirst-quenching creations cover a broad spectrum of single and double IPA’s, lagers and stouts, such as the popular Rude Parrot IPA, Broken Mast Brown Ale and Cutt’s Ale. The intimate tap room is set up for socializing and meeting up with friends old and new. Seating is family style around long, timber tables next to large windows looking into the production room where brewers can be seen turning dials and pouring ingredients into gleaming stainless kettles.
The tap room doesn’t serve food, but you are invited to bring your own. Or, enjoy the delicious offerings – such as hot and soft pretzels, Reuben sandwiches, creamy mac and cheese, beet and goat cheese salads and veggie hummus plates – available at The Galley food truck parked right outside. 7 Seas is family-friendly and has a fenced beer patio with seating, tables and games out front. The tasting room is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
