What a fabulous day to be in the harbor ~ and lots of other people think so, too. Our new food trolley, JW @ the Boatyard, is proving to be a very popular lunch spot along the waterfront.

It’s open for dinner, too, so stop by the new red trolley at the entrance to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. Grab a bite to eat when you’re strolling along harbor, browsing boutiques and art galleries, or on your way to Skansie Brothers Park or Jerisich public dock. Or, make it your next stop before or after your scenic harbor tour with Gig Harbor Gondola, which boards right here at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. It doesn’t get any tastier or more convenient than our trolley. JW @ the Boatyard is an easy stop if you have kids or dogs in tow. We have a patch of lawn and plenty of outdoor seating at picnic tables — under sun umbrellas or not. JW, “Gig Harbor’s Food Trolley,” also works just fine on those rainy Northwest days: We have a large tent canopy that we can quickly set up over the tables on the grass.

You will have many choices of delicious JW favorites to tempt you. Choose between calamari strips with sun-dried tomato basil aioli dipping sauce, salmon chowder with toasted bread, apple cider pulled pork sandwich with chips, grilled chicken or salmon Caesar salad, blackened cod or chicken tacos, hand-dipped smoked chicken-bacon-cheddar corn dogs, lobster rolls, and a lot more ~ and of course, the ever-favorite, 7 Seas beer-battered cod & chips. The “Little Deck Hands” menu offers several kid-pleasing hits, such as hand-dipped corn dogs and cheese quesadillas, both with fries. Be sure to try a smooth and creamy Whidbey Island ice cream bar. They come in vanilla, mint chocolate, coconut, triple berry, peanut butter and orange chocolate.
