Boatyard Guests Can ‘Cruise Hobbes’

Plan a Cruise on Hobbes During your Boatyard Stay

Now when you stay at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard in one of our fabulous guest accommodations, you can add an out-on-the-water experience with Cruise Hobbes.

Whether staying in our beautiful Guesthouse or on one of our exciting Fleet Suites @ the Boatyard, guests can now expand their waterfront experience by booking a chartered sailboat cruise. The fun takes place aboard Cruise Hobbes, a gorgeous 42-foot Catalina sailing yacht operated out of Gig Harbor.

“We are very excited to be partnering with another family-run business in Gig Harbor,” said Taylor Crosby, assistant hospitality manager at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. “Our guests will get to have a real harbor experience with a captain taking them out on a sailboat.”

But this exciting experience extends beyond just the harbor. Guests can charter the skippered yacht for sightseeing and other adventures in Gig Harbor, Tacoma, Seattle or other Pacific Northwest destinations. Hobbes offers space for one couple overnight and up to 10 people during day sails.

Cruise Hobbes, operated by Captain Frank and First Mate Karen since 2011, is perfect for day sails, meals on the water, a cruise to a restaurant, or for romantic overnights. The sailing yacht operates year-round with heated topside and below deck areas.

Experience Cruise Hobbes

  • Day Sails ~ Half day or full day for up to 10 people
  • Meals on the Water ~ Lunch or dinner for up to 6 people
  • Cruise to/from a Restaurant ~ Embark at several ports. For up to 10 people
  • Overnights on the Water ~ Romantic cruise to your favorite destination
cruise“Guests can book Cruise Hobbes for dinner, or for a special date night, or even for a small group of friends wanting a Sunday afternoon to relax in the sun,” says Crosby. “Guests will even have the option to learn a bit about how to operate a sailboat, or they can bring a bottle of wine and just relax.”

This new partnership between boatyard and Hobbes offers a perfect pairing with weddings at The Club @ the Boatyard, points out Taylor. Imagine sailing off into the sunset from your wedding reception at The Club, or arriving by sailboat for your special ceremony at the waterfront venue.

Boatyard hospitality duo Danielle Taylor and Crosby are working on package deals, but in the meantime, check out the exciting options on the Cruise Hobbes website.
