Boatyard Opens Account for Injured Mechanic

Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard has started an account to accept donations in support of our mechanic Doug Wicker, who was injured in a major industrial accident at the end of December.

Doug, a single father of an 8-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries from a fall and our hearts and prayers go out to him and his family during this extremely stressful time. While Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard is doing everything we can to provide financial support for him, and the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries is doing everything they can, it will be insufficient to cover what is expected to be a lengthy recovery.

We are pleased that Doug is recovering, but it is a long road ahead for him. Please consider donating to support him during his time of recovery.
