Club @ The Boatyard Members Pier Into the Night

If you have ever wished you could be a SCUBA diver and see the creatures that lurk in Gig Harbor Bay, then why not try the next best (and warmer) thing? Viewing underwater wildlife on a large screen while staying dry and comfortable on land.

The Club @ The Boatyard is hosting a members only viewing party with Harbor WildWatch on Saturday, March 26. Make plans soon to come to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard for a private “Pier Into the Night” experience and see what lurks below the surface in the harbor.

Club @ The Boatyard Members Invited to Pier Into the Night

Members of The Club @ The Boatyard are invited to gather at the marina venue at dusk, or about 6:30 p.m., for the exciting Live Dive Experience with “Pier Into the Night.” This Harbor WildWatch program allows the audience to become virtual SCUBA divers in Gig Harbor Bay for a glimpse of the wildlife that inhabits Puget Sound.

While viewers stay comfortable and dry inside The Club, a Harbor WildWatch SCUBA diver will take a GoPro camera below A-dock at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. A live video feed will display the colorful underwater world on a large projector screen for viewers inside The Club. A Harbor WildWatch naturalist will be on hand to provide information and identify the creatures below, such as delicate, wispy feather-plumed worms, strikingly beautiful nudibranchs prowling barnacle-covered pilings, and maybe even some sea stars on the comeback from the mysterious wasting disease that has plagued Puget Sound.
