Donations Help Ease Mechanic’s Recovery

We are so appreciative of donations coming in for our injured mechanic
We know that mechanic Doug Wicker and his family are extremely grateful, too, for this generous assistance to his lengthy recovery.
As you may have seen in this blog space last month, Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard has started an account for donations in support of mechanic Doug, who was injured in a major industrial accident at the end of December. The donation account is still open so if you haven’t contributed yet, please consider doing so.

Doug, a single father of an 8-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries from a fall and our hearts and prayers go out to him and his family during this extremely stressful time. While Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard is doing everything we can to provide financial support for him, and the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries is doing everything they can, it will be insufficient to cover what is expected to be a lengthy recovery.
We are pleased that Doug is recovering, but it is a long road ahead for him. Please consider donating to support him during his time of recovery.
Account is still open for donating to Doug’s recovery
To donate, you may stop by our boatyard office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or mail donations to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard at 3117 Harborview Dr., Gig Harbor, WA 98335. For more information call (253) 858-3535
Thank you – Ron Roark, General Manager of Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard
