Along with the popular event venue, the gorgeous new restrooms and showers, and the recently opened food trolley is a working boatyard that is the basis of it all. And that base is made up of a talented crew with nearly 250 years of combined experience in the industry. Bring your boat to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard for service and repair and one of the 14 industry professionals in the yard will have seen, experienced or worked on a similar project before.  It’s a standard that Boatyard Manager Mark Lindeman has worked to bring about in selecting his crew.

“I saw it as my biggest goal,” he said, “to build a versatile team. Our team is a group of hand-selected professionals with capabilities in all aspects of boat repair. I’ve always had the philosophy that we need to train a few people a year to keep the labor pool up.”

That philosophy seems to be working because the downtown Gig Harbor boatyard is busier than ever. The place is bustling with activity and it’s a different fleet of boats up on stands every few days. The crew knows boats and is dedicated to getting them ready for the season.
