The Water is Calling – Answer it at Second Wave
What could be better than relaxing on the water this summer? Paddling around at your leisure, taking in nature and our incredible Puget Sound views. It just got easier to do with the fleet of personal watercraft on hand right now at Second Wave @ the Boatyard.
Gently-used kayaks, inflatable dinghies and even small sailboats have been finding their way to the yard at Second Wave Marine Repair and Consignment this summer. Inventory tends to fluctuate like the tide, so stop by frequently and see what’s current. Store General Manager Gary Ford and crew will be happy to answer your questions and help find what you’re looking for.

“Our website collection is definitely growing.” – Store Manager Gary Ford
Check out the Second Wave @ the Boatyard website and fantastic online catalog for a sneak preview of our consignment collection. There is more product shown online all the time, says store manager Gary. Then come in and take home some of that treasure.
“Our website collection is definitely growing,” he said. “We have more than 500 products in the online catalog, and we’re constantly adding more. Our online sales are really picking up — we have even shipped as far away as St. Maartin in the Caribbean.”
While you’re in the store, help yourself to Gig Harbor’s own, delicious Cutters Point Coffee — a robust Fishermen’s Blend, of course.
Also, be sure to check out the Wish List board just inside the front door. See what other customers are looking for — you may have just the thing for someone — and add your own sought-after items to the list.
If you came to the swap meet at Second Wave earlier this month, you saw for yourself what a dynamic place is the consignment store, which just celebrated its first anniversary in Gig Harbor. A crowd of customers came through, browsing the racks of brightly colored life jackets and foul weather gear and the numerous shelves of every boat part and gadget imaginable.
“The event was so popular that I’m really looking at having another swap meet in the fall,” said Ford.
So, stay tuned, boaters. There’s always something new at Second Wave!
