Girls Night Out

Today is finally the day! Gig Harbor will be seeing red as Girls Night Out takes to the streets in this exciting kick-off to the holiday shopping season.

Shoppers toting red bags full of goodies will be hitting the harbor to “Shop & Dine from 10 to 9” in the 7th annual Girls Night Out along the waterfront, today, Nov. 10. Hundreds (or is it thousands?) of shoppers will be participating in the great deals, coupons and other enticing offerings from participating downtown businesses.

Girls Night OutGrab a friend and come on down for the fun in the harbor. Be sure to stop by The Club @ the Boatyard and see what we have to offer. Join The Club for a dollar and have a rejuvenating chair massage and enter a drawing for fantastic prizes: A free gondola ride for 2 in the harbor with John Synco of Gig Harbor Gondola; a free night on The White Lion, our new vacation rental guest yacht; or a free night in our gorgeous Guesthouse @ the Boatyard. Club members will also get a pour of wine, so be sure to find your wine glass in your goodie bag and join The Club.

Girls Night OutThis year’s Girls Night Out, sponsored annually by the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance, is bigger and better than ever. Fifteen hundred bags filled with goodies from merchants along the waterfront sold out within a few hours on pre-sale day at the end of October.

The Alliance has organized two Pierce Transit trolleys to help shoppers get around town, operating a circular route all day from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Park at the United Methodist Church on Pioneer Way and catch the trolley there, or anywhere at many stops throughout the downtown waterfront.

The Downtown Waterfront Alliance thanks Pierce Transit and the many Finholm businesses involved in sponsoring the trolleys and the searchlight that you can’t miss after dark; and thanks to Tickled Pink for sponsoring the goodie bags.

See you at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard today for some ‘fun @ the boatyard!’
