Thank you, Harbor WildWatch, for your warm note of gratitude about our partnership on the Gig Harbor waterfront. We enjoy being your neighbor and helping to bring about important marine stewardship events with you.
Jennifer Beard, development associate with Harbor WildWatch, sent boatyard Hospitality Manager Danielle Taylor a neighborly note of thanks earlier this month — like friends do for each other.
Her card says: “All of us at Harbor WildWatch feel so much gratitude for the continuing partnership and friendship we share with the Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. We look forward to a great summer with the best neighbors in downtown Gig Harbor!”
We think we have a pretty great neighbor ourselves, in the historic Skansie house next to us, and we’re happy to continue our partnership with Gig Harbor WildWatch. We are proud to have been named Harbor WildWatch’s 2016 Partner of the Year this past winter. WildWatch Executive Director Lindsey Stover presented Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard managers with a framed certificate at the marine education organization’s annual meeting in February.
Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard Enjoys Partnership with Harbor WildWatch
The boatyard partners with Harbor WildWatch by holding Pier into the Night live video viewing events at The Club @ the Boatyard, hosting the group’s annual fundraising dinner, donating Club membership dues to the organization, offering classroom space in the Northwest Maritime Academy for monthly volunteer training, and has donated The Club venue for the group’s popular Cocktails & Fishtales eco-social evenings.
The Partner of the Year award reads: “This certificate is awarded to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard in recognition of your contribution to environmental education and the betterment of our downtown waterfront community in 2016. We thank you for your partnership.”
We thank you, too, Harbor WildWatch. We are looking forward to a great summer on the harbor with you — we know it will all go swimmingly!
