We Are ‘Business of the Quarter’ at Heritage Bank

Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard received another accolade recently:  We are proud to be named Business of the Quarter by Heritage Bank on Olympic Drive.

Word is spreading about our appealing amenities and attractive hospitality features and we are pleased to be a popular destination in the heart of downtown Gig Harbor. The folks at Heritage Bank noticed all the changes going on at the boatyard and chose us for their honor this fiscal quarter.

“We chose Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard because they have a lot going on down on the waterfront,” said Sherri-Lee Gunter, assistant branch manager at Heritage Bank. “They’re an important part of the community. People know about the harbor area because of all the events going on down there, but there are a lot of improvements the boatyard is making that people might not be aware of.”

Just inside the door at the bank we have set up banners, photographs and brochures about the hospitality offerings at the boatyard, and the display is attracting of lot of interest by bank customers, says teller Doreen Kinsey.

“Customers love it,” said the customer service representative. “They look at the posters, pick up brochures — it’s generating a lot of interest in Gig Harbor.”

“We even end up showing customers Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard’s website and all the great things going on at the harbor,” added Gunter.

Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard a ‘Perfect Fit’ for Bank Honor

Choosing the boatyard for Business of the Quarter was just a “perfect fit,” continued teller Kinsey.

“I’ve lived and worked here for 42 years and I thought I knew about all (the boatyard’s) amenities,” she said. “But I didn’t realize you could rent a boat (our guest yacht, Suite Dreams) or a room (our guest suite, The Guesthouse @ the Boatyard).

“I’m really pleased with what Ron (Roark, general manager at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard) is doing with all the amenities and services and making it open to the public,” she continued. “It’s important to a fishing town that’s trying to keep its identity as a small town, especially with the urban sprawl in other places. I think this is a perfect fit.”

Thank you, Heritage Bank, for honoring us. We enjoy being part of this special community.

Stop by Heritage Bank at 5119 Olympic Dr. NW and see our display — and maybe the tellers will even show you our website.
