Girls Night Out Comes to Town Nov. 14
Gig Harbor’s 10th annual Girls Night Out comes to the downtown waterfront on Thursday, Nov. 14 — and it’s not too late to get in on the fun.
This dynamic event hosted bigger and better every fall by the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance is the harbor’s largest shopping and dining event of the year. It marks the official kickoff to the holiday shopping season, and what a fantastic kickoff it is.
To begin with, there is plenty of shopping and dining going on from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at more than 50 downtown Gig Harbor businesses. This year organizers have added the fun convenience of a water taxi on the Riviera. Tom Drohan’s cruise boat, running from noon to 5 p.m., will take shoppers from the Maritime Pier by the Tides Tavern to Anthony’s Restaurant in the Finholm District.
There will also be four 25-passenger shuttle buses for easy transit by land from one end of downtown to the other. These transportation options are complimentary, thanks to Girls Night Out sponsors Olympic Property Group and Riviera Cruises.
So plan on joining your friends and their friends, moms, sisters, daughters and grandmas to “Shop & Dine from 10 ’til 9” on Nov. 14. Stores are offering amazing specials, drawings for door prizes and lots of fun activities. The event program contains coupons for the day of the event and one for shopping during the holidays as well.
Event programs and goodie bags full of great gifts and specials have been on sale for the past few weeks. As of earlier this week, bags were still available at Tickled Pink, AR Workshop, Harbor General Store, Boujie, Devoted Kiss Cafe, Java & Clay and The Weathered Cottage. Drop by or call today and get your goodie bag for $25.
When you purchase a bag you will receive the event program, which is also sold separately for $10. On the day of Girls Night Out, remember to go back to the store where you pre-purchased your bag and pick it up for your day of shopping and dining. Volunteers with the Waterfront Alliance have been busy filling them with small gifts, game pieces and much more from the participating businesses.
