JW @ the Boatyard Opening April 1st

Tomorrow is finally the day! JW @ the Boatyard is opening at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. Yes, that would be April 1st, but it’s no Foolin.’ And have you seen the weather forecast? Friday will be sunny and 72 degrees at noon, so come down to the food trolley and have lunch outside on the Gig Harbor waterfront.

The red food trolley operated by the outstanding JW Restaurant team is open to the public and will serve delicious Northwest fare seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to dusk. Stop by for food to go or stay and enjoy it at the umbrella-covered picnic tables in front of the trolley.

JW @ the Boatyard Food Trolley Opens April 1st

Tantalizing aromas will fill the downtown waterfront area, so just follow your nose to the food trolley at the entrance to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. JW @ the Boatyard is offering tantalizing cuisine such as 7 Seas Beer Battered Cod ‘n Chips, Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken or Salmon, Apple Cider Pulled Pork, Calamari Strips with Sun-dried Tomato Basil Aoili, Salmon Chowder, Hand-dipped Smoked Chicken Bacon Cheddar Corn Dogs, Blackened Chicken Tacos and a lot more. Kid-friendly choices on the Little Deck Hands menu include Cheese Quesadillas, Hand-dipped Corn Dogs and Chicken Strips. Be sure to finish with an amazing Whidbey Island ice cream bar. They come in choices of Mint Chocolate, Coconut, Triple Berry, Peanut Butter, Orange Chocolate and of course, Vanilla.

JW @ the Boatyard opening in time for annual Paddlers Cup

Come to the harbor April 2-3 for the annual Paddlers Cup races and have lunch at JW @ the Boatyard.

If you can’t make it down for the grand opening on April 1, then be sure to stop by on the weekend, during the Paddlers Cup. The annual paddle competition sponsored by the Gig Harbor Canoe & Kayak Race Team is taking place from the public dock on April 2-3. Pick up lunch at JW @ the Boatyard and stroll over to Skansie Brothers Park next door and watch the races in the harbor.

JW @ the Boatyard Food Trolley Opens April 1st

The Canoe & Kayak team is renting The Club @ the Boatyard, conveniently next to the JW food trolley at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard, as its headquarters for the weekend event. Come and be part of the Paddlers Cup action, which includes distance and sprint races in the harbor on Saturday and the Cross Narrows Challenge on Sunday.  Also on Sunday are the newly added Dragon Boat races taking place inside the harbor.
