Marina Seeking Kids’ Life Jackets

Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard is Seeking Donations of Kids’ Life Jackets.

For the safety of all who visit our docks, we are looking for child/youth size life jackets to make available at the gates leading down into our marina.

If you have any kids’ personal flotation devices (PFD’s) that you are no longer using — and which are fairly shipshape — we would love to have them. We plan to set up storage lockers of free-to-borrow life jackets at the entrances to our A and B Docks for the safety of kids who visit our docks, said Service Manager Chris Hawke.

“We want to model this as a standard practice, something you automatically do before going out on a dock.” – Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard Service Manager Chris Hawke

If you have a life jacket to donate, please drop it by the boatyard office, or call (253) 858-3535 for more information.
