Northwest Maritime Academy Offers First Aid, CPR/AED Classes
Two classes offered through Northwest Response are being held at the Northwest Maritime Academy next week. The classes are taught by experienced instructor Captain Thomas Bliss, director of training at the academy. Sign up now for these open registration classes: American Red Cross CPR and AED use is set for Feb. 23 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and a Pediatric and Adult First Aid, CPR and AED class is scheduled for Feb. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Learn more and register under “Courses” at Northwest Response.
If all you need is a CPR class, then the Maritime Academy has you covered. Northwest Response and the American Red Cross are offering this CPR/AED-only class on Feb. 23. These classes are held once a month at the Northwest Maritime Academy at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. You can complete the course in just two and a half and receive your two-year renewal certificate the same day.

Northwest Response offers classes throughout the region in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training for lay responders through professional responders. Certification courses are offered by the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association and the suite of programs from HSI Medic and ASHI.
