It’s never too early to start thinking about your Valentine
Gig Harbor’s Winter Sip & Stroll and a Wine Evening at The Club @ the Boatyard
Gig Harbor’s popular Winter Sip & Stroll wine and food tasting event drops anchor once again on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 12 to 4 p.m. Participants will find themselves strolling among downtown waterfront stores, restaurants, galleries and non-profits, all serving as Stroll Stops.
Enjoy sampling Northwest wines, brews, spirits, cider and tasty small bites — and be sure to take advantage of Early Bird pricing while it lasts.
The Club @ the Boatyard’s Riedel Wine Event
Then, that same evening, stroll over to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard for our fabulous Riedel Wine Event at The Club @ the Boatyard. We are hosting an enjoyable and informative evening of tastings with the Riedel Wine Glass Company from 7-9 p.m. Experience for yourself the difference the correct glass makes with different varietals of wine. Cost of the event is $60 per person, plus a $1 membership to The Club @ the Boatyard.
“Riedel’s Grape Varietal Specific glassware features finely tuned bowls based on three variables – shape, size and rim diameter – to help translate the ‘message’ of wine to our senses.” – The Riedel Wine Glass Company

The Waterfront Alliance Winter Sip & Stroll
Winter Sip & Stroll is presented by the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance and the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor and sponsored by Anthony’s at Gig Harbor and Pam & Lee, Friends of the Alliance. The crowd-pleasing Sip & Stroll series often sells out in advance, and this year only two tasting events are planned as the Alliance will not be presenting a wine tasting event this summer.
Just before Valentine’s Day each year….
Winter Sip & Stroll offers wine enthusiasts an enjoyable opportunity to “love the wine they’re with.” It’s a delicious day of shopping and tasting samplings of Northwest wines, along with brews from 7 Seas Brewing and Gig Harbor Brewing and spirits from Heritage Distilling.
The Downtown Waterfront Alliance will provide complimentary shuttle transportation throughout the waterfront to make it easy to visit all the Stroll Stops.
Early Bird tickets are $35 in advance, which saves $10 off the day-of-event pricing through Feb. 2. Tickets are available at bit.ly/wintersipandstroll2020 or Eventbrite.com. Ticket prices go to $40 from Feb. 3-7, and $45 at the door on the day of the event if any tickets remain.
Participants will receive a tasting glass, 15 sip tickets and a map to guide their stroll through the downtown waterfront district. “Love the Wine You’re With” even more by shopping until 5 p.m. at the wine store featuring bottled wines served at the Stroll Stops. The store will be set up at the Sip & Stroll registration location in the brewery banquet space at 7 Seas Brewing, 3006 Judson Street.
For the latest details on participating wineries and restaurants, visit Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival on Facebook or contact the Alliance office at 253-514-0071.
