Support Local Restaurants and Save 30%

Here is a great way to support our Gig Harbor restaurants, folks, even with the governor’s new restrictions going into effect. Join the many local restaurants participating in “Restaurant Rally” and save 30 percent on your order, through Friday, Nov. 19.

You can still dine-in through the end of business today, Nov. 16, then keep ordering takeout or delivery at this fantastic discount during the remaining Pierce County Restaurant Week, Nov. 15-19. Call your favorite restaurant ahead of time and see if it is participating, then enjoy a delicious savings.

Be sure to make one of your dining choices the brand-new Bella Femmina, run by Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard’s hospitality manager Danielle Taylor. She announced the grand opening of her Italian restaurant’s in-house dining on Nov. 13, right before the governor announced his new restrictions. But no matter; this outstanding eatery at 3108 Harborview Drive — the old Spiro’s location — will continue to offer its hearty, homestyle menu for takeout.

Put Bella Femmina on Your List of Must-Tries

“We have a new and expanded menu with our in-house recipes as well as some old favorite recipes from the past that Gig Harbor has been waiting for and missing!” said the Bella Femmina crew on their Facebook page.

Photos above: Bella’s mouth-watering Five Meat Sauce Lasagna, a slow oven-baked favorite layered with ricotta, parmesan and other Italian cheeses. The Mediterranean Salad featuring fresh spinach and romaine tossed in a house-made creamy herb vinaigrette with Kalamata olives, roasted red peppers and pine nuts, artichoke hearts, pepperoncini, diced tomatoes, chick peas and red onion, finished with crumbled feta cheese. Bella’s White Pizza, in the photo at the top, is made with fresh spinach, diced bacon, black olives, pine nuts and pepperoni layered on a delicious roasted garlic white sauce and covered with an Italian cheese blend.

Even after Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s newly announced statewide COVID restrictions go into effect at 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 16, we can keep supporting our local dining establishments through take-out during this very difficult time for businesses. Inslee’s four-week restrictions will remain in effect until Monday, Dec. 14.

Shop Local and Support Our Local Businesses

Gig Harbor businesses need our support more than ever. Stay up to date on harbor happenings and see how you can help by following the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance on Facebook. There are many wonderful business and holiday promotions going on right now along the Gig Harbor waterfront. The Downtown Waterfront Alliance has its finger on the pulse of all of them.

How about helping make the holiday season extra warm and cozy for someone with the blanket and sock drive going on at the Gourmet Burger Shop? Or get in the spirit of things by participating in “Passport to the Holidays” through Dec. 6.

It’s this easy: Dine and shop at local businesses and complete a passport by spending $25 or more at four different participating businesses. Once your passport is completed you’ll be entered to win one of four magnificent gift baskets – each valued at more than $600 – filled with gift cards and gift items from downtown businesses.

An additional special “Gig Harbor Getaway” basket will also be awarded. You can complete as many passports as you wish. Simply pick up and turn in your completed passport at any participating business. Visit Passport to the Holidays for all the latest details.

We can get through this difficult time, folks, but it takes a village. Thanks for supporting our local businesses by shopping local and shopping early.
