Marine Consignment Store Open 7 Days a Week
Second Wave @ the Boatyard Marine Repair and Consignment started its new summer hours yesterday, and eager customers were lined up at the door first thing this morning.
After being closed on Sundays and Mondays during the dreary winter season, the store of gently-used marine treasures is now open seven days a week. Store General Manager Gary Ford fielded several phone inquiries before he even opened this Monday morning and foot traffic started as soon as he unlocked the door.
Second Wave Summer Hours
Monday – Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ford attributes convenient online browsing to piquing an interest in Second Wave’s collection of nautical supplies and equipment. Then shoppers know just what they want to look at when they come into the store. “People tell us they are seeing our stuff on our website first,” said Ford. “So they come in to check it out.”
And to buy. As I came through the door this morning, friends from the Gig Harbor Yacht Club were leaving with two vintage brass ship’s lanterns in hand. “Our son collects these,” said the woman, very happy with her find.
Come find your own buried treasure at Second Wave @ the Boatyard Marine Repair and Consignment. Now you can browse the ever-changing collection seven days a week.
