Artist’s Sign Adorns The Club @ The Boatyard

There is always something new going in at The Club @ The Boatyard as the event space acquires final touches, and the latest touch is an attractive name sign created by local artist Jack Edwards.  He was at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard on Halloween afternoon putting his nautical-themed sign up on the focal wall of the waterfront venue.

Edwards painted “The Club @ The Boatyard” in red and blue letters and decorated the sign with a lustrous gold anchor and chain and a ship’s wheel. He included the venue’s latitude of 47″ 19′ 50 and longitude of 122′ 34′ 50 and attached the sign behind the bar against a backdrop of blue fish netting with red salmon in it.  It is all in keeping with the maritime theme of the new harbor-side venue at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard.

The Club @ The Boatyard has already hosted several successful events since it opened next to Skansie Brother’s Park in July and many special touches  have been added since then.  Canvas curtains, ceiling heaters and two gas fireplaces enable year-round use for the venue on the historic Gig Harbor waterfront.
