Sip & Stroll at Wine & Food Fest
The 2016 Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival gets under way today with the Summer Sip & Stroll along the downtown waterfront.
Step out and enjoy the festival’s lead-off event, the second annual Summer Sip & Stroll from 4 to 8 p.m. Savor sips and tastes at more than 15 Stroll Stops along the harbor. Many businesses will be open late, so you can shop as well as stroll. Don’t miss the Waterfront Farmers Market, open from 3 to 7 p.m. The Pierce Transit Summer Trolley runs late on Thursday for your convenience and your trolley fare is included in the price of the Sip & Stroll ticket. Show your event wrist band upon boarding.

Check in at 3104 Judson Street (the site of the former Ace Hardware Store) to pick up your wristband and sipping tickets and peruse the retail store of wine selections. Price is $35 per person and includes a commemorative glass, 15 taste tickets and small bites at many Stroll Stops. Purchase in person or online by clicking Sip & Stroll Ticket.
Be sure to make Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard one of your Stroll Stops and enjoy tantalizing sips and nibbles by JW @ the Boatyard. The talented chefs at the food trolley will be offering their delicious Sip & Stroll taste treats at The Club @ the Boatyard.
Sip & Savor Winemaker’s Dinners – July 22
The annual Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival, organized by the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance, has more delicious fare on the menu this Friday evening, July 22. Cap off the Grand Tasting afternoon with the “Sunset Dinner at the Club” at the Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. Enjoy “Sounds Like Dolores,” fabulous food and more at this new post-Grand Tasting event. The Sunset Dinner at the Club is set for Saturday, July 23, from 5 to 8 p.m.
This event is being produced by Jacques Henry and JDH Events, so you know it’s going to be fantastic. Guests will be greeted with a swag-bag of goodies and a signature cocktail from Heritage Distilling Co. Mingle with celebrity chefs, get a personalized autograph in one of their cookbooks, or snap a selfie while you enjoy appetizers that will whet your palate for dinner.
The Sunset Dinner at the Club features a delightful three-course menu from Scooter’s Fine Catering, with each course served family-style with wine pairings from Portteus Winery. Linger over this relaxing dinner while you enjoy music by Sounds Like Dolores ~ it will be a uniquely perfect summer night on the Gig Harbor waterfront. Tickets are $100/person. All guests must be 21 or older.
