Spindrift Gets New Windows at Gig Harbor Marina

This Spindrift 43 traveled down the sound from Seattle to have all new windows installed at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard.
All the windows are out of the pilothouse and shipwrights at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard will be replacing the glass and building new bronze window frames to replace the old wooden ones, said boatyard manager Mark Lindeman.

The owner of the 1986 Ron Amy-designed pilothouse cutter made the trip from Seattle to have the work done at the downtown Gig Harbor marina.
“Even customers from Seattle flock to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard,” quipped Lindeman, who is a friend of the Spindrift’s owner.

The Spindrift 43 is a double-ender that features both inside and outside steering and has a full keel. It is a blue water ocean-going vessel designed and constructed for long-range cruising, yet her unusual amount of storage space also makes her a great live-aboard, according online articles.
The shipwrights at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard will have their Seattle customer seaworthy for blue water — or Puget Sound water — again soon, once their quality window installation work is completed.
