Plan a Vacation this June at The Guesthouse @ the Boatyard
This gorgeously decorated 1,700-square-foot guest suite is located in the heart of the downtown Gig Harbor waterfront — just steps away from all that is fun in the harbor. Plan to take a memorable harbor cruise aboard an authentic Venetian gondola right from Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. John Synco, the singing gondolier with Gig Harbor Gondola will provide appetizers and a serenade on a relaxing harbor tour aboard his 36-foot gondola, Nelly. Also during your stay, be sure to stop by JW @ the Boatyard, the red food trolley offering delicious fare at the entrance to the marina. The tantalizing aromas will pull you in for JW’s cod & chips, salmon chowder, blackened chicken tacos or apple cider pulled pork sandwiches.
The Guesthouse at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard is within easy walking distance from restaurants and bars, a gift-and-gourmet general store, spirit and beer tasting rooms, clothing and gift boutiques, book stores, art galleries and more. Starting on June 2, you can leave the driving to someone else by hopping on the convenient PT Trolley, “Get Around Gig Harbor.” The red trolley runs every 30 minutes and makes several stops in the historic downtown area, including the Finholm district at the end of the harbor, to the stores and restaurants in the Uptown shopping district.
June 2 is also the opening of the summer Waterfront Farmer’s Market held in Skansie Brothers Park every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. through August. Enjoy browsing the market next to The Guesthouse @ the Boatyard. Then return to the suite to take in a relaxing view of market activity in the park below.
