The Trolley @ the Boatyard Offers Delicious, Easy Fare

Have you tried the Trolley yet? It doesn’t get any easier — or more delicious — to get a bite of amazing food on the go right in the heart of downtown Gig Harbor.

The Trolley @ the Boatyard is more popular than ever this summer and it’s conveniently located on your walking, shopping and playing route along the harbor. Pick up some crisp and tender cod fish & chips to go on your way to Skansie Brothers Park next door, or maybe a mouth-watering peanut butter, grilled onion and caramelized bacon burger. What? Yep, fantastic.

My husband and I had the PBO Burger and the Triple BLT (shown above) — the fried egg added atop the bacon was pure genius. We now know that we must have another round. And soon.

The mouth-watering PBO burger is a must-have: Peanut butter, caramelized bacon and grilled onion on an all-beef patty.

Trolley General Manager Jacques Henry and Assistant Manager and Lead Cook Lui Tong have a smoothly running ship at the boatyard’s popular red food truck this summer. The wait is short and the food out of this world. It’s easy to take your treasure to-go, or to enjoy at the trolley’s picnic tables — socially distanced apart and sanitized, of course.

The friendly staff will also deliver to select locations nearby: Heritage Distilling, the Harbor Taproom, 7 Seas Brewing, Jerisich Public Dock and right here in the marina at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. Just call in your order.

The Trolley @ the Boatyard: Open Thursday-Sunday, 11 a.m. to dusk
