Great New Experience ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Date of arrival: June 13, 2017
Not only had my wife and I never stayed on a boat like this, we had never even been on a boat like this. When the opportunity came up (VRBO hunting), it just sounded like a fun and different thing to do on our Seattle-area vacation (three different two-day stays).
We found the boat to be very comfortable: there are two suites — each with a bathroom — a small kitchen, an indoor sitting area and a sun deck also for sitting. For two of us, it was quite nice, for more guests, if you are inexperienced boat folk, it could seem crowded.
We enjoyed watching pleasure and fishing craft come and go and were entertained by the variety of birds and the occasional seal. On our second evening we were treated to a magnificent sunset view of Mt. Rainier.
We did have one very minor issue with potable water which was quickly remedied by the attentive staff. If I could make one change to the boat, I would replace the furniture on the aft deck (which is a wonderful place to sit) with two very comfortable chairs.
All in all, we had a delightful time.

Unique and a Great Location ★ ★ ★ ★
We were in Gig Harbor for our granddaughter’s high school graduation and thoroughly enjoyed our time on the boat. The salt air coming from the open window coupled with a very comfortable bed and the gentle rocking of the boat at anchor, made for some outstanding sleep.
There are several areas to relax on board. I watched Kingfishers diving for small fish from the aft area. The Tides Tavern is a Gig Harbor icon and it’s a 5-minute walk, as are several boutique shops and my favorite, the Heritage Distillery, where you can find many flavors of your favorite libation 🙂
Lots to do within walking distance. I wouldn’t recommend this boat for those with limited mobility as getting on and off the boat might be a bit of a challenge. Also, the WiFi is a little spotty so if that’s a hard requirement for you, be aware.
However, if you want an unique experience in the heart of the town, you can’t go wrong with this boat VRBO, AHOY!
