Summer’s In The Air @ The Boatyard

Gearing Up for Summer at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard
We’re showing our summer colors here at Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard. Parts Manager Richard Moller used the lift to hang 12 vibrant flower baskets from the boatyard shed last week.
The brilliant splashes of color signal a summer of “fun @ the boatyard” that started with the Maritime Gig Festival in the harbor last weekend, and continues this Saturday with our annual swap meet.
Saturday June 10 is National Marina Day and we are celebrating with our third annual swap meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Browse through our yard full of boating and water recreation items for sale throughout the day, and enjoy live music by Sweet Mary from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hot dogs will be available.
We’ll be conducting an official renaming ceremony for our Fleet Suite, the White Lion, down in the marina at 2 p.m. Come watch as the 42-foot guest yacht is rechristened Suite Dreams. (See previous blog on Swap Meet Fun, Folk & Food.)
Getting Ready for a Summer of Fun on the Harbor
In another sign of summer activity at the boatyard, the yard crew was busy this week setting a float in the marina to be used by kayak paddlers.
