That’s what we’re doing for BOB, a Bayliner 24 that came to Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard for “make ready” full service. BOB is on the yard for out drive and engine tune-up and new batteries, said Mark Lindeman, boatyard manager at the downtown Gig Harbor marina.

“BOB is here for full service to make ready for the season,” he said, which includes checking that “hoses and belts and all are good,” among other service checks.

BOB will be ahead of the  fleet when boating season gets under way this spring. Don’t forget that Daylight Saving Time begins this coming weekend, which means even more time on the water — and ever closer to those blue-sky months without “r’s.”
