We are throwing our first summer party at the Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard and you are invited! Come and celebrate the grand opening of our exciting new venue, The Club @ The Boatyard, on July 21 and enjoy the fabulous sound of The Beatniks from our covered patios next to Skansie Brothers Park.
Festivities start at 5 p.m. at The Club, which offers a great view of the stage for the Summer Sounds at Skansie concerts just across the lawn. Enjoy a festive evening with one of the hottest bands in the area out of the hot sun and crowded lawn-chair seating for this most-popular billing of the summer concert series. Harborview Drive will be closed along the park, so come and avoid the traffic and experience the fabulous sounds of The Beatniks’ 60’s and 70’s rock ‘n’ roll in our relaxed, open-air venue. (Read more about The Beatniks.)
Complimentary Northwest-inspired appetizers will be served, along with beer, wine and other beverages that will be available for purchase. Smoked salmon pate, prawn cocktail and a raw bar featuring oysters on the half shell will await you at on our patio. Delicious seafood fare by JW restaurant (JW) will also be offered at the Trolley Express, set to open by our grand opening, next to The Club.
While enjoying the concert and refreshments, be sure to sign up for membership to The Club. Cost is just $1 and we are inviting everyone to join. Being a member will allow you to book your own special event at this beautiful new, harbor-side venue. The Club @ The Boatyard is the only venue on the harbor with easy access to Skansie Brothers Park and other amenities within easy walking distance of the downtown waterfront, and it is sure to become a popular site for wedding receptions, wine-tastings, company parties and other special events.

The Club will be set up for year-round use with retractable canvass walls and cozy fireplaces on a brick wall between the two patios. It will feature maritime décor fitting of its harbor-side location with draped fish netting and the bar made to look like the inside of a boat.
