A Legacy Built on the Water
Since 1912, Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard has been a cornerstone of Pacific Northwest maritime history. Originally founded as the Skansie Ship Building Company, the yard grew from a small fishing boat repair shop into one of the largest operations on Puget Sound - building the first Washington State ferries along the way. Today, we proudly carry that legacy forward with expert marine services and a deep commitment to the boating community.
Your Full-service Marina & Boatyard
Home to Gig Harbor’s largest marina, just inside the harbor entrance, we offer covered and uncovered slips, free parking, and no long-term lease requirements. Located steps from downtown Gig Harbor’s waterfront, we’re also the area’s only full-service haul-out and repair facility, providing expert maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to keep you on the water longer.
Waterfront Event Spaces
Located in the heart of historic downtown Gig Harbor, next to Skansie Brothers Park and the Netshed, The Club @ the Boatyard offers a one-of-a-kind waterfront setting for private events. Perfect for weddings, graduations, retirements, and celebrations of all kinds, our covered outdoor venue accommodates 50-200 guests and features stunning harbor views that create an unforgettable experience.

The Trolley
Hop aboard Gig Harbor’s most unforgettable dining experience! This retired San Francisco trolley serves up crispy fish ’n chips and waterfront favorites in a setting you won’t find anywhere else. A local favorite and must-visit stop on the harbor, it’s the perfect place to grab a bite, soak in the views, and experience a little piece of Gig Harbor magic.
