Gig Harbor Marina and Boatyard began its’ life in 1905 as Skansie’s Ship Building Company. As this fishing boat repair shop grew, it became the largest of its kind on Puget Sound and had the incredible task of building the first Washington State ferries. We’re very proud of our history and legacy of quality marine services, and strive to continue to provide skillful service to our members.

Today, we are a full-service marina and boatyard centrally located in the beautiful, bustling downtown Gig Harbor. We are also the only full-service haulout and repair facility in Gig Harbor with an experienced crew to help you with all of your boat maintenance and repair needs.

In addition to our excellent boatyard facilities, we are able to offer marina members a beautiful covered, outdoor event space. Our members have the ability to host any event, from a graduation or retirement party to a wedding. With enough space for 150 guests and tables and chairs provided, your friends and family can enjoy our beautiful waterfront and park views. We also have an indoor classroom and lecture space available. Boatyard and marina members take advantage of this space to host meetings, classes, and other group events.

Last but most certainly not least, we are extremely delighted to host members in our gorgeous Guesthouse. With 2 decks that overlook the beautiful Sound and Skansie Brothers Park below, guests can stay multiple nights and enjoy all Gig Harbor has to offer.
