Ready, Set, Sail: The Salish 100 is Coming to Gig Harbor!

If your Sunday plans don’t currently involve a harbor full of whimsy, charm, and a slightly ridiculous number of small boats, it’s time to clear your calendar.

Every summer, the Salish 100 takes over the Puget Sound for an epic, 100-mile maritime road trip from Olympia all the way to Port Townsend. The catch? Each member of this exclusive floating party has a vessel 22 feet or shorter. It’s basically the ultimate road trip for pocket-sized watercraft.

We’re talking everything from stand-up paddleboards and sleek rowing skiffs to quirky home-built sailboats, SCAMPs, and melonseeds (yes, that’s a real boat type, and yes, they are adorable). It’s a vibrant, tight-knit community of water lovers who spend a week sharing the open water by day and swap stories by night.
