Richard is proudly the sixth member and third generation of his family to work at the Gig Harbor Marina and Boatyard. He has been with us 19 of the 21 years he has had in the field and functions as our parts manager and equipment operator.
Cheryl has been with us for about 2 years and we couldn’t be any happier to have her. She came to the PNW all the way from Florida but is loving her position at the boatyard and working with such fun people.
Senior Service Tech
Chris Hawke is 38 years into his marine mechanic career and we are proud to have had him for 16 of those years. Being our Master Marine Mechanic, Chris loves “being on the water and working with boat owners to provide a reliable and safe vessel.
Jason Lee, one of our awesome shipwrights, has been at GHMB since September, 2017. Jason claims Olympia as his home town.
Yard Supervisor/Lift Operator
Mark Rybin has been at the Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard for an amazing 41 years. He started in 1980 working alongside the owner and his wife and in 1988 became the yard operations manager. Today he stays very busy running the 50 metric ton Travelift. After all of his years here Mark’s favorite things about this job are the customers and co-workers he has the opportunity to work with.
Electrical and Electronics Technician
Mike has an extensive history working in the boat industry, and joins us from Lake Union. He is an ABYC certified electrical and electronics technician.
